This is one of the font that we have decided upon using for the title for our trailer 'Decay'. The reasons why we chose this font was mainly due to its shape and structure as the edges of the font seems to have faded almost as if it has decayed, this then ties in nicely with the fact that our film is called 'Decay'. Once we changed the font to red and added a black background we had a title that looked more like the generic horror movie titles. As our film has a sub-genre of 'zombie apocalypse' we thought that it was more important to change the colour of the font from black to red as this emphasises to the audiences that the colour red is hinting that our film is going to be gory and action packed.
After playing around with various other font choices we came across this font that automatically stood out to us as we felt like it was an improved version of the previous font choice we chose. The colour and the letters are more faded making it look more decayed than our previous title font. This then led to the decision to chose this as our font choice, we went on to use this same font for both the magazine cover and the movie poster.
